Donald Trump prevails in a red-wave election, Tammy Baldwin survives, the WOW shift slows, State Senate Dems shine, Republicans keep the legislature, and much more.
I think 2026 is going to be an *excellent* election for Wisconsin Democrats, assuming of course that the WI Supreme Court doesn’t flip and reinstate the gerrymander. It won’t take long for people to remember why they disliked Trump so much in 2020.
Excellent analysis, Dan! Couldn't agree more on item 8. I think the middle ground is probably what they ended up doing way too late, restricting asylum claims. It's been obvious for years "asylum" was the inadequate liberal response to border crossers being "illegal".
I'm not sure how I missed it, but seeing that Stroebel lost just made my morning.

Am definitely hoping for this as well. Keeping Evers in place will be key.
