Defaulting to a law from decades before women had the right to vote is going to bring about chaos, cruelty and confusion in Wisconsin, with the inaction of the Republican state legislature.

After the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, Wisconsin could revert to a law governing women’s health from more than seven decades before women had the right to vote.
As Gov. Evers said last week, this ruling makes women out to be “second class citizens.” And even if you’re adamantly pro-life, having this badly outdated ban be the law of the land in Wisconsin is irresponsible. But policies of confusion, cruelty and chaos is nothing new for the Republican-controlled Wisconsin State Legislature.
