Special Broadcast: Civic Media's coverage of Gov. Evers' budget address and Spring Election Primary results
Lots to recombobulate on, folks.
The Recombobulation Area is a thirteen-time Milwaukee Press Club award-winning weekly opinion column and online publication founded by longtime Milwaukee journalist Dan Shafer. The Recombobulation Area is now part of Civic Media.

Tuesday, Feb. 18 was a big day in Wisconsin politics. It was the day of the Spring Election Primary, featuring the statewide race for superintendent, and was also the day of the governor’s biennial budget address.
At Civic Media, we covered both with a special broadcast. The show as hosted by Todd Allbaugh, host of “The Todd Allbaugh Show” and featured yours truly as co-anchor (later in the evening) and on-the-ground reporter (during the speech)
From the speech, I snapped a few photos and took some video, which you can see below.

You can find my live coverage of the speech on my Twitter feed here, including several videos of the speech.
For Civic Media’s live broadcast, Allbaugh anchored the coverage and was joined by several guests, including Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, former Republican state senator Rob Cowles, and Democratic State Sen. Kelda Roys.
Along with discussing the governor’s budget address, we also talked about results from the Spring Election Primary, where incumbent Superintendent Jill Underly and Republican-backed challenger Brittany Kinser advanced to the general election. See our coverage of those results here.
Civic Media’s Jimmie Kaska also joined to talk about the results of several school referenda happening in the state. You can find his story on those results here.
