Happy Friday, recombobulators!
We’ve made it to the end of another busy week, and we have a Green Bay Packers game to watch and enjoy this weekend. But before we get there, here’s our weekly Friday roundup of all of my radio appearances from the last week.
In chronological order…
On Tuesday, as I do every Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., I joined Pat Kreitlow on “Mornings with Pat Kreitlow” (6-9am on Civic Media). This week, with folks going back to school, we talked about the rise of school funding referendums (and how that’s likely to continue) and we also talked about how this could be Wisconsin’s last Labor Day under Act 10.
In the podcast, my segment starts at the midway point, and in the livestream video, it begins at about 2:29:00. Plus: a clip from the appearance on Instagram. You can also listen on Civic Media here.
On Wednesday, I joined “The Maggie Daun Show” (4-6pm on Civic Media) to talk about Rebecca Bradley choosing not to run for re-election on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. My segment starts at the very beginning of the show.
And on Friday, as I do every Friday morning, I joined Greg Bach (Jane Matenaer is currently on vacation) on “Matenaer On Air” (9-11am weekdays on Civic Media), to recombobulate on the news of the week.
This week, we talked about the startling story on State Rep. Sylvia Ortiz-Velez allegedly making threats toward fellow Democratic legislators, and leaving the party’s caucus (after the show, news came out about the nature of those alleged threats), Republicans losing their minds over woke language (when it’s really just boring legalese), and Democrats introducing bills on workers’ rights that might not necessarily be for this session, but perhaps more to signal what kind of work they could do if given control of the legislature. And yes, we also talked about Packers football.
