Happy Friday, recombobulators!
Before you head off to your holiday weekend (thank a union, btw), here’s our end-of-the-week roundup where you can find all of my radio appearances from the past few days. It’s like five podcasts in one!
But first, there was some big news today in Wisconsin politics, with Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley announcing that she would not be seeking another 10-year term on the court. I wrote a brief news story about this at Civic Media, and offered my take on the news on “The Recombobulation Minute.” Listen to that here.
Another thing: We have a big sale running right now!
You can upgrade to paid at a big discount — 35% off! That means you save more than $17 off the price of a full-year subscription, AND you’ll be eligible to win a pair of tickets to see the Milwaukee Brewers host the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 18.
The deal runs through Tuesday, so get on it and let’s keep recombobulating!
OK, on to the roundup!
As I do every Friday morning, I joined “Matenaer On Air” (9-11am on Civic Media) to recombobulate on the news of the week. This week, Greg Bach, guest co-host Angela Lang and I discussed the school shooting in Minneapolis, back-to-school issues like school funding or cell phones in classrooms, and then lightened things up with the “Audio Sorbet” segment, where we talked about our plans for Labor Day weekend and the Green Bay Packers’ big trade for Micah Parsons (!!!).
Listen (Hour 1, Hour 2) or stream below.
Also on Friday, I joined “The Maggie Daun Show” (4-6pm on Civic Media) to talk about some of the problems ailing the Democratic Party on the national level, with declining registration around the country, and lackluster fundraising from the DNC.
That episode is available on Civic Media here.
On Thursday, I joined Patti Vasquez on “Driving it Home” on Heartland Signal / WCPT 820 in Chicago to catch up on the latest in Wisconsin politics.
Find that episode here:
On Tuesday, I joined “Mornings with Pat Kreitlow” (6-9am on Civic Media), as I do every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. This week, we talked about the debate over cell phones in schools, and discussed Republican hypocrisy on issues like free markets, considering the Trump administration’s actions on tariffs and taking stakes in large corporations like Intel.
Last thing: If you missed it, I joined Matt Rothschild to talk about the race for governor on the “Wisconsin Forward” podcast. Listen here.
