Happy Friday, folks!
Here’s our weekly roundup of what you might have missed on the airwaves this week.
On Friday at 10 a.m., I join “Matenaer On Air” to recombobulate on the news of the week. This week, we talked about the Joint Committee on Finance voting out 600+ items from Tony Evers budget proposal, the latest legal challenges to Wisconsin’s congressional maps, and proposals to create tax credits for film or video game production in the state, and about the Chicago-born new Pope — and his connections to Wisconsin and the region.
Listen on Civic Media here or stream on your favorite podcast app or watch on our YouTube channel, both embedded here.
On Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., you can hear me on “The Maggie Daun Show” — excuse me, the 1st Place WBA award-winning “The Maggie Daun Show” (!!!) — talking about the latest in state political news.
This week, we talked about the Joint Finance Committee gutting Tony Evers’ budget, and about Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann’s entry into the governor’s race.
Milwaukee friends: You can find this show on 540 AM (and make that your new drive time preset station).
Listen on Civic Media here or stream embedded content below.
On Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m., I now join Civic Media’s newly expanded morning show, “Mornings with Pat Kreitlow” (which you can also hear on 540 AM, get that preset in for your commute, folks!).
This week, we talked about a package of Republican-backed bills going after unemployment insurance, Josh Schoemann’s run for governor, and more.
Listen here on Civic Media, or stream below.
Also: You can find “The Recombobulation Minute,” which airs on Civic Media stations statewide, online here.
One last thing: Tonight, the Milwaukee Press Club will be handing out its awards for their annual “Excellence in Journalism” contest at the 95th Annual Gridiron Awards Dinner at the Pfister Hotel in Downtown Milwaukee.
The Recombobulation Area is up for six awards, and we’ll find out if they won gold, silver or bronze.
Revisit those award-winners here, and wish us luck!
