Folks, our biggest sale of the year is now less than a week away.
As a proud Milwaukee-based publication, The Recombobulation Area does indeed celebrate the glorious holiday that is Milwaukee Day, on April 14.
(For those unfamiliar: This holiday lands on 4/14 for the city’s 414 area code. It was invented as a half-joking idea between friends Andy Silverman, Brent Gohde, and Timm Gable in 2010, and has since grown to become a signature celebration in a city that loves to celebrate.)
So, as we’ve done for the past few years on Milwaukee Day, we are offering 41.4% off all subscriptions to The Recombobulation Area!
That means a full-year subscription that’s normally $50 is available for about $29, and monthly subscriptions that are normally $5 are available for $2.93. Pretty good deal, right?
We’ve got some new things to announce for our paid subscribers in the coming days and weeks, too, so stay tuned.
But for now, we wanted to give you an early heads up. For one, we wanted to give our free subscribers some advance notice before you upgrade to paid, but there’s another important part of this, too.
Those of you who subscribe to The Recombobulation Area are part of a community. We’re passionate about politics, maybe a little nerdy, and probably pretty goofy. This is all genuinely amazing. You guys are the best.
But this publication is an independent operation and small business, with just one full-time employee. As much as I’m going to be posting about this sale — and you know there will be more than a few tweets and newsletters about this — we need our wonderful community to help spread the word.
So, we’re asking you to share this sale with someone. The sale will run through the end of the day on Tuesday, April 16. The sale price comes out to less than $30 for a full-year subscription, and you can get started with a monthly subscription for less than $3 per month.
