FEATURE STORY: The new East-West bus rapid transit line is genuinely terrific. It could prove to represent a turning point for Milwaukee's beleaguered bus system. That is, if we seize the opportunity.
So glad to see BRT getting off the ground in Milwaukee, a city (and region) so very grossly underserved by public transit, Madison is also about a year out from opening our first BRT line. It goes to show how absolutely tone deaf our state legislators are, these are simple things that make our state a better place to live.
The BRT to Summerfest was great and my daughter converted a lot of her new high school grad friends to bus riders. Until the last night when she got a $35 parking ticket because there were never enough spots in the Watertown Plank lot - grrrr!!!
