Yes, the day is about to arrive. You had better have a plan to vote (if you haven’t already), and a plan to spread the word about voting, because turnout will be everything.

We had a terrific roster of guests, including WisDems Chair Ben Wikler, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Mother Jones National Voting Rights Correspondent Ari Berman, Civic Media’s Todd Allbaugh, and Angela Lang, executive director for BLOC and regular Recombobulation Area contributor.

We actually started the show a bit early, as I joined the final half hour of “The Todd Allbaugh Show” to talk about the constitutional amendment on voter ID, and Todd’s rather unique history on this issue, as he saw firsthand how Republicans advanced this measure in the early 2010’s with purely partisan motivations, and how that applies to the question that will be before voters today.

That conversation continued into the first half hour of “The Maggie Daun Show.” After that ended, we were joined by Ben Wikler, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
Among topics discussed, we talked about whether this election is a referendum on Elon Musk, if Democrats would be open to changing campaign finance laws, and more.
In the 3 p.m. hour, we were joined by Ari Berman, national voting rights correspondent at Mother Jones and the author of several books including his latest, “Minority Rule.”
At 3:30 p.m., we were joined by Eric Holder, former U.S. Attorney General in the Obama administration, to discuss the importance of the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, redistricting and more.
Along with Holder, Angela Lang joined the show to talk about the final stretch before Election Day.
