I drive by Buckeye road as part of my normal drive home. Passing by about 12:45 there was a line of cars waiting to go through the police checkpoint. Realizing almost all of them were having the worst day of their lives and that for a few it was about to get much, much worse was overwhelming.

One note about school windows: the school I went to had very thin/narrow windows- the kind you see on the outside of county jail buildings. It was meant to be riot proof (school was built in the 60s), but had a very real effect on the atmosphere.
