Assembly Democrats have been pushing to force a vote on two bills that have been blocked by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, pictured here at the Madison Club, where a fundraiser is being held.
This is so gross. Bad enough that they won't vote on these critical health bills, which their voters support, but they went to a fundraiser at the Madison Club? Ew.
Then they want Dems to beg for them to touch their Scrooge McDuck pile of our tax dollars, while we are getting huge property tax bills because the state refuses to properly fund education. They would rather just keep taxing us to add to their pile, defending education, and let us eat the increased taxes. My state taxes went down slightly (<$50/yr) under R rule, and my overall taxes went WAY up.
SO TRUE. They keep bragging about this "surplus" as though they raised it themselves! WE PAID THOSE TAXES, we want them to be USED for the public good - schools, roads, rural broadband, teachers, nurses, SEAs, food assistance, healthcare!

And Vos is resigning! At the end of the year, but still!
It's about time
